Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for end-to-end ownership of software project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations. This role acts as the single point of accountability between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and external vendors, with a strong focus on execution, risk management, and technical alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Ownership

1. Own end-to-end delivery of software projects from initiation to closure.
2. Define project scope, milestones, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
3. Ensure adherence to delivery commitments, SLAs, and quality standards.
4. Drive release planning, sprint execution, and production readiness.

Technical & Execution Leadership

1. Work closely with engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure technical
2. feasibility and delivery alignment.
3. Review solution approaches, technical designs, and dependencies to proactively identify risks.
4. Ensure best practices in SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps processes are followed.
5. Oversee environments, integrations, deployments, and release coordination.

Stakeholder & Client Management

1. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders on delivery matters.
2. Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and risk reports.
3. Manage expectations, handle escalations, and ensure transparent communication.

Planning, Risk & Governance

1. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, and dependency maps.
2. Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, technical, and operational risks.
3. Ensure compliance with organizational governance, security, and audit requirements.Team & Vendor Management
4. Manage cross-functional delivery teams (onshore/offshore/partners).
5. Track team capacity, productivity, and performance.
6. Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure contractual deliverables are met.

Financial & Resource Management

1. Track project budgets, forecasts, and burn rates.
2. Ensure optimal utilization of resources and timely invoicing/milestone billing where applicable.
3. Support change requests, effort estimations, and impact analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• 8+ yrs of experience in software project delivery, with at least 3+ yrs as a Tech Project Manager.
• Strong understanding of software engineering, system architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or Hybrid delivery models.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-team software projects.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and escalation management skills.
• PMP Certification

Technical Exposure

• Web & enterprise applications, microservices, APIs
• Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices
• Databases and integrations (REST, event-driven systems)

Tools

• MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps (or equivalent)
• Project tracking, reporting, and collaboration tools

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Must) / PRINCE2 / Scrum Master / SAFe certification
• Experience working with global delivery teams
