Microsoft showcased more functionality of the futuristic HoloLens – their augmented reality headset which is scheduled to be released later this year.
Following up their jaw-dropping demo of Minecraft on the platform, they now chose to demonstrate how the HoloLens could find a wide variety of practical use; perhaps in the most interesting area of its application – education.
In another spectacular demo video, the HoloLens is shown how it could be potentially used in a classroom. The students are seen learning about the human anatomy via an interface that looks like it came out of Star Trek. With more third party apps bound to come out after the product’s public release, one can imagine the disruption it will have on the educational sector.
